Chapter 12: Traitor?


Stars glowed with a white hot passion as clouds moved away from the crystal moon. Basking in it's elegance, the moon lit up the night time scenery below. The Condor flew silently towards a dark Terra. Cyclonia. "This is it Aerrow." Piper said with certainty. "Alright!" Aerrow said and pounded his fist into his hand. Getting everyone's attention. "Finn is somewhere on that Terra. And we will not rest until we find him. Got it?" He said with authority. Junko raised his hand up. "Right!" He said firmly. Stork sighed. Muttering something about how pointless this was. Piper glared and Stork continued to pilot the ship. Radarr climbed up onto Aerrow's shoulder. "We're coming buddy..." Junko said lowly. The Condor landed in a hidden location on Cyclonia. The Storm Hawks quietly made their way into Cyclonis's palace....

The Palace....

I was fiddling with a bouquet in my hands.  They were a bunch of lovely red roses. I was practicing what to say when I got to Cyclonis's room. "Good evening Cye... I mean uhh... Miss Cyclonis.... I uhh, thought these flowers would go well with your complexion... Since they are pretty and you are pretty. But they are not as pretty as you are..." I sighed. "Oh man... I'm in trouble... Well, here goes nothing." I said and walked down the hallway to Cyclonis's room. I passed by a few cyclonians on the way. My blonde hair swayed as I walked. My ice blue eyes found the door I was looking for. I knocked. "Hey Cye." I said when she opened the door. Cyclonis smiled. "Hello Finn." She said sweetly. I handed her the bouquet.

But accidentally shoved it in her face. "Agh! I'm so sorry!" I said shyly. Cyclonis giggled. "It's fine, I'm alright." She said and took the bouquet. "They smell wonderful. Thanks Finn." Cyclonis said. "No problem. Of course, they aren't as lovely as you are Cye." I said gently. Cyclonis smiled. "Master Cyclonis." A male voice said. "Come in Dark Ace." Cyclonis said. I caught a hint of disappointment in her voice. She wanted the moment to last. Just like I did. "It's the Storm Hawks. They are here." Dark Ace said. Cyclonis scowled. "Those pesky... Alright. Go take care of them." Cyclonis said. She was talking to both Dark Ace and me. "Right!" Dark Ace said and bowed. "Come with me Finn." Dark Ace said. I nodded and followed him.

The thought of being a traitor did not cross my mind. No, I was too busy thinking of Cyclonis. I wanted to make her happy... I followed Dark Ace down a few halls. We passed by a room where Ravess looked to be fighting Piper. Junko was fighting with Snipe. Dark Ace pulled my arm, so we went further down that hall. Until he suddenly stopped. Which caused me to crash into his back. Dark Ace didn't fall over, but my face hurt a lot. "What are you doing Dark Ace?" I asked, irritated at his sudden action. "Aerrow." Dark Ace said. "Dark Ace... Where is Finn?" Aerrow said. "Aerrow?" I said and walked out. "Finn! Hurry! I'll distract him!" Aerrow said and pulled out his twin blades. Dark Ace smiled. "Here." He said and handed me his red blade.

I felt the power of the crystal. "Finn?" Aerrow said. "Think about it kid. The Storm Hawks never really needed you. Don't you want master Cyclonis to be happy?" Dark Ace said. I grinned. "Yes. Of course I do!" I said and formed a fighting stance. Aerrow looked back at me with a shocked face. Dark Ace laughed. A cyclonian ran up and told him something. "It seems our meeting must be cut short. Farewell Aerrow." Dark Ace said and left with the cyclonian. "No!" Aerrow said and charged for Dark Ace. I blocked his path and his blades collided with mine. Erm, I mean the Dark Ace's sword. "What are you doing Finn?" Aerrow asked me. "I only wish for Cye's happiness." I said and swung a punch at him. Aerrow ducked and kicked me. I backed up. Then charged again.

I delivered a few blows to his chest and almost knocked the blades out of his hands. Aerrow came back at me with a few moves of his own. "You've been training..." Aerrow snarled. "Dark Ace makes a good teacher." I said with a grin. I thrust the sword at Aerrow. we collided again. "Finn..." Aerrow said, the pain clear in his eyes. "Have you really become a traitor?" Aerrow asked sadly. I froze. I pushed my blade off of Aerrow's. I backed up. "N-No... I'm not a...." I couldn't finish. I wasn't really a traitor... Was I? I looked at Dark Ace's blade. And dropped it. No. No it isn't true! "I am not a traitor!" I said. I was remembering all the good times I had with my friends. Aerrow placed a hand on my shoulder. "Let's go." He said.

"What do you mean by that?!" Piper said angrily and kicked Ravess into Snipe. "Finn is NOT a traitor!" Piper snarled. "Oh, so you think you know him so well? He's been spending an awful lot of time with master Cyclonis." Ravess said wickedly. Piper was ready to pound her. "Yeah, not to mention he's been getting lessons from the Dark Ace himself!" Snipe said with a snicker. Radarr came running in and was signaling them to leave. Piper was about to punch Ravess, but Junko grabbed her and took off after Radarr. "Come on, I think Radarr is trying to tell us something." Junko said. "This isn't over Ravess!" Piper growled. Ravess laughed. "Indeed it isn't over..." She said.

Aerrow and I made our way to the entrance. Where two guards were. I simply walked up to them. "Uhh, hey you!" I said. "What is it? Hey, aren't you that guy master Cyclonis was with?" One of them said. "Yeah, that's right. She actually needs both of you right now. Something about the Storm Hawks?" I said coolly. "What? Hold on master Cyclonis! We're coming!" The guard said and took his friend with him. "Well, that was easy enough." I said and signaled to Aerrow. "Impressive." Aerrow said. Piper and Junko came running out. Aerrow and I chased them back to the Condor. Stork stared at me. "Nice outfit." He said. Piper laughed. "It kind of makes you look like the Dark Ace, Finn." Piper said. "I kinda like it." Junko said. "Somehow that doesn't surprise me." Stork said.

"I'm kinda tired. I'll see you guys later." I said and headed to my room. Aerrow walked with me. "Hey, do you want to talk?" Aerrow asked. I sighed. "Maybe later... But right now, I'd really like to rest." I said. "Alright. Whenever you are ready then." Aerrow said. The door closed behind him.

"I wonder what's up with him." Junko said. "Isn't it obvious?" Stork said. The others shook their heads. "Mind worms!" Stork said in a creepy tone. "I think it's something else Stork." Aerrow said when he came back. "Like what?" Piper asked. "He seemed like he was thinking about someone." Aerrow said. "No way..." Piper said. "Could he be... in love?" Piper said, in shock.

Dark Ace lifted up his blade. "So, he went with the Storm Hawks after all. Well, we'll see how long that lasts." Dark Ace said with a smile. Putting his blade away, he left the room.
